1: Why do you want to join KoS: Knights of Shadow have already taken the server first Fortress capture the other night. I see your legion members around constantly and you all seem to be grouping together efficiently and getting stuff done, plus you have the most high levels I've seen of any legion. I want to be in the dominant legion on the server and significantly contribute to it's dominance - I'm a power gamer through and through so nothing less than the best will work.
2: What can you bring to KoS: I'm a strong player, pvper, gatherer, lots of play time, good with my keyboard bindings, extensive RPG experience, good at doing my homework (learning raid fights in advance, building up consumables etc), making kinah (or gold in other games), tenacious, and good at theorycrafting for various builds/situations.
3: What games have you played and what were your achievements:
I've played 2 MMO's prior to Aion: WoW and Age of Conan. I've played WoW for 5 years until I quit this summer in preparation for Aion, but I only played Age of Conan for 2 weeks so we'll just skip talking about that lol.
In classic WoW I was in the dominant guild on my server where we took all the server firsts (including Nefarian like 4 weeks after the server came out). I played a Warlock and at the time I took a break from the game for a few months he was the most geared lock on the server. When I returned his gear was still formidable and I joined a guild which took server first kills in Naxx.
In TBC I played casually (was working full-time plus doing college) but still got 2000+ ratings on Rogue and Warlock in arenas and never had anywhere close to top tier gear (S2 gear is S4 for example). In Wrath of the Lich King I was one of the first 80 Deathknights (I wanted a change, WoW is OLD) in the US. I geared out quickly, raided with a top US guild, and cracked the top 100 arena ratings list (was 33rd at one point, maybe higher but never checked after that).
Highest arena rating achieved 2580 and Gladiator title. In the process of getting my ratings up in WoW I beat a number of signed pros: Neilyo, Pookz, Venruki, Happyminti (on both his lock in classic battlegrounds and rogue in Wotlk), Sodah, Serration, Ming (not a pro gamer but a pro troll!), and a few others. Anyways, I may not be as good at arenas as some of those guys but I have beaten them and am capable of playing at a very high level when I see something I want (like Glad title).
After I got Gladiator I got bored with WoW. It has no roaming pvp anymore (classic WoW was the best point imo), no cool siege stuff (Wintergrasp is boring), and I'm only into raiding if it's like classic WoW where your gear actually mattered and gave you an edge in pvp. So I found Aion and the rest is history. If you have any questions about my WoW experience please ask, I played the game for like 5 years and there is much more to write but I'll keep it simple.
4: Why have you left previous games:
Oops! I answered that above. I left Age of Conan cause of a combination of it being too hardcore for my old computer (it sucked, my new one is good though) and not liking some aspects of the game. I left WoW because I played it for 5 years and there is nothing new in it. Plus I feel Aion is a superior game for what I'm after.
5: What other guilds/legions have you been in:
In WoW I was in Out of Line (ranked 30th US at the time), Eternal Reign (ranked about 15th? at the time), and apped to (successfully) Deus Vox (number 1 US guild at the time) but ended up not following through on the application because I just wasn't into raiding anymore. In Aion I've only been in IVV my current guild which is me and a few friends and they know I'm just here to hang out until I find my real legion.
6: What were the reasons for leaving your previous guilds/legions:
Out of Line had great people and also some real retards (both bad players and rude people combined into one slimy mess of shit) - so I stayed for a long time but eventually just realized I wasn't into raiding in WoW anymore. Other guilds I was in during Classic whose names aren't "big names" I left because I was taking a break from the game or whatever.
7: Will you take orders? Can you take criticism from our officers? How would you handle it:
Definitely, I prefer to be told what is expected of me. However, I prefer to have it worded "hey don't do that do this" and not "FUCK YOU MANG YOU DUMB SHIT I WILL KILL YOU DUDE WTF MANG" or something like that.
8: Have you ever grouped with KoS members: Not yet, but I've seen a lot of you around and thrown out some heals (lol).
9: What PvP experience do you have in previous games:
I should read the whole application before I start typing >.< I listed most of my pvp achievements in question 3. Other than that I did the rank 14 grind with some guys on Alliance in WoW. Our group dominated all the other groups queueing and pushed 2 players to rank 14. I only got like rank 8 cause I raided and took time off here and there, but I got to play with the best world pvp/bg group on that server in classic and it was a real experience. In hindsight (post arena age of WoW) I think they were all pretty bad players but we made it work by talking a lot over vent and working really hard. Plus some of us had nice raid gear so we had that advantage.
10: What PvP experience do you have on your current character:
I'm rank 6 now, almost rank 5. I've done a small amount of group pvp just healing people when the Elyos zergs roll up in the Abyss. I've killed every class 1v1 without any problems, Clerics seem pretty powerful in small group or 1v1 situations since healing and just wearing them down is tremendously effective. I survived some level 40 assassin trying to gank me today while levelling in the Abyss. Stuff like that, nothing that would mean jack crap on an application. Hopefully - pending your interest in my application - I can pvp with some KoS and you can see how I am.
11: Any other Aion related experiences you'd like to share:
I'll list other little accomplishments since only being 30 at this point isn't much (there are people 40+ but I took a different route from just levelling one character non stop). I started out on Head start day one as Assassin and got to 27 by the 3rd or 4th day - at this point I decided I did like my cleric from Beta more and made a quick reroll. I powered the Cleric up with a +10 level 4 mace (LOL! 2 shotting mobs in 1-10 zone) and raced to catch up to my friends and my Assassin. Here we are a week later and I'm 30.
I've also gotten Armorsmithing and Cooking to 200 on my Cleric. On my Assassin I have 211 Alchemy and was the first to sell Temporal Stones on the AH (I made at least a million kinah in a few days this way in the first week or so). I also have 215 gathering skill and as I type this am flying around Morheim levelling my Aether extract which will be well over 200 before I log tonight. I waited until 30 to level Aether extract since the wings I got at 30 really make it a lot less tedious.
