This is by far the best method to raid healing as a resto druid. Carefully developed and implemented in drooUI (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13793-drooUI.html) provided by the best druid in the world, Drooweed.

Here is my setup and how I use it to heal effectively (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EAIRXjEGHA&fmt=22) - [HD] Video
Here's another video I found on a similar setup (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnZK567k_tw&fmt=18) - this one uses timers instead of icons. It looks great I just haven't tried it yet.

Anyway the addons required to use this method for one should be

Grid (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5747-Grid.html)
GridStatusHots (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6513-GridStatusHots.html)
GridStatusRaidDebuff (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/grid-status-raid-debuff.aspx)
GridSideIndicators (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/grid-side-indicators.aspx)

Here is how I have it setup.

Now the way to set it up can be a bit tricky but it's well worth it at the end.

First, you go into /grid config and make sure Myhots are enabled and set to whatever color you want. For example you can go to MyRejuv and click enable then set it to purple. (same color as rejuv) Do the same for MyRegrowth, etc.

Second go into Frame and click on where you want your hots to be, on top left, top right, right, left, top, etc. You can set up to 8 and with another addon even more if you wanted.

Hrmm, still think id rather use healbot to monitor hots, mainly due to the icons shown are the actual spell icons, and those icons incorporate timers aswell, wich gives a better idea of when they will need to be refreshed. Setup is also much much much easier... As in, you install the addon, check if you want hots to show up and where, and done.
Healbot also has a built in heal on click that can come in handy to remove certain heals from your bars.
Guess its a matter of choice, and nice guide for those that stick by Grid, wich I havent used for a very long time.

I am curious though, based on the first video, no mouse over heals are used... Why? I always found that keeping a specific target (either MT or boss) simply helps, and using mouse over for everyone else. And isint it slightly faster to not have to click targets to heal?

I'm sure he runs Grid with Clique: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5108-Clique.html

Also for my own grid setup my icons change colors based on the time left on specific hots, so this does the same as healbot but in a tight package.

I don't use mouse over because I do a lot of movement while healing. (jumping around and shit)

With mouseover I found myself having to choose between healing and moving out of shit. Guess it's just the way I learned.. I'm sure there's an immense amount of room for improvement but this works for me right now.
