KoS will be playing Aion on the NORTH AMERICAN servers, even the European players. There is no "KoS Euro guild", those playing Aion EU have decided to play with other guilds, not KoS.
Nitro has stated that European players not playing the NA version don't really have an excuse (especially now) for not playing on NA servers seeing as there is no longer an IP block. On top of that, the servers are located on the US East Coast, making the lag minimal at best. (UK players have reported no lag, most lag for anyone has been beta related or due to their own ISP)
There is no lag from finland either, silk smooth.

If a significant part of the guild is EU would that be beneficial to the guild since KoS would have people playing 24/7 or would it be detrimental because it splits our forces? Just curious because I saw somewhere that a zerg guild will be one of our rivals (Sorry for them :P)

That's because finland = winland.

Regarding EU members:
There will be overlap due to time difference, and weekends will still be primetime for everyone. We will likely pick up a few more recruits as well.
Regarding zergs:
I have always been in guilds that had more opposition than members; it is common to engage more than one enemy at a time. Teamwork, communication, and skill will stop most zergs unless their # is OVER 9000.
It reminded me of this video I saw where a group runs into a larger group of enemies and then rickrolls them.
