For starters I am a mage. I play arcane or fire for max raid DPS. I have a pvp offspec so I can only bring 1 dps spec to a raid. (not that it matters with every mob taking any type of damage nowadays) I recently returned to wow this Christmas break to take down Arthas hopefully. I have played the game on and off since release and been with many guilds until they disbanded or fell to itty bitty pieces (i don't leave guilds unless there is a good reason and so far I have never really found a reason) I am the type of player to laugh off guild drama , I take constructive criticism very well and will always make mental notes of any mistakes that creep up on me. I also am very observant and can dish out advice in whispers to other raiders if I see that improvements can be made. I review my combat log all the time to determine what went wrong and am a person who always tries to understand something before getting into it to try and avoid mishaps.

I played a warrior in vanilla and BC so I am very aware how threat works and use the threat mechanics of a mage to get the best out of my burst DPS. I also know many rotations to conserve mana or while waiting on cooldowns. I do lot's of research to find out what works best with other players and often will do testing to prove that these players are right and sometimes find out more efficient ways of managing my damage or mana or movement or whatever I am doing at the time. I don't play with very many mods because I prefer viewing as much of the battlefield as possible; I also use mainly hotkeys and this combination allows for a very reactive play style while still remaining very proactive in avoiding damage and getting to correct positions.

I am unfortunately only a casual player as my RL situation allows me only to play in my free time (which varies every week and possibly changes daily... university student, mechanical engineering if you are at all interested) therefore I think I should be considered a back up raider who replaces people or can sit in until a main character shows up. I can adapt to new situations and can come in at any given time without a time loss in teaching a new player what a boss does 4x before he gets it right. I am a tankspot subscriber and try to keep up to date with the encounters that they cover, but at the moment I am a bit behind on ICC because of my finals that are in progress, But should take no time to learn them.

I do not believe whr = better dps, I gear according to what gives me a better edge (i think mine is 2650 atm in any case) all it takes is paying attention and spamming your buttons faster, and therefore don't really give two shits about the same "new" loot with a bit better stats and won't cry over it. I have JC and tailoring as this combination was the best for overall raid DPS but I think that it was patched for all DPS professions to give the same benefit. I do my JC daily all the time and usually have tokens saved up to buy new recipes on the fly if someone requires a specific gem since I only use +23 sp. I am mainly considering joining your guild because of my friend Jadefox(I believe another friend of mine Sydeshow is involved somewhere), we usually play a lot together and we have fun raiding and downing bosses together. I love the epic feel of raids and the feeling of satisfaction of learning how to deal with some crazy shit.

In conclusion I see myself as a valuable part of your guild over the long term, as I would be raiding almost full time during my summer break (beginning in April) and that I can also help out during the holidays and then on nights where my workload doesn't have my nose in the books. I do have a dry and sometimes sick sense of humour that can raise a few eyebrows and hopefully a few laughs. I also feel this application style is great for separating the people who don't have the brainpower to formulate thoughts correctly with the people that won't be wasting your time.

You can contact me on one of my two characters; Wonderballs, Wonderpanzer. Enjoy your... whatever portion of the day you are in at the moment of reading this and thank you for considering me. I hope I covered everything that you expect out of an application, any further questions... contact said characters or leave a message here, I'll check back.
