Part of this expansion is reducing the requirement for progression for many lines - so where as before you needed a level 5 skill to progress you can do so at 4. This removes a lot of time from the character progression time chain.

I agree - it kinda adds up to a kick in the face to old players, but if they want to attract in new players they have to do it. They already made it much easier anyway with implants and skill training bonuses etc. Its just a continuation of that policy.

A game where REAL LIFE time is measured in skill, they HAVE to do this in order to get anyone to play.
And even then, people will still be as good as someone who's played more than them. Especially goes for the vets.
Eve is great fun, but I'm a maxer -type of guy and I won't play unless I can catch up.
But that doesn't say I won't try it out.

Does Eve have quite a few micro transactions? I never liked the game that I bought where other people had an advantage because they just kept on sinking money into it.

still got my eve main account running for skill training and shit, its a pretty awsome char.
but considering the lvl5 skills i already learned and working on its kind a lame that the requirements change :(
To what ruis said, its different to other games. u can focus on 1 strenght like u usually do in other mmorpgs. u normally dont run arround with 2 different chars and max them out.
u lvl 1 char, focus on one thing and ur good, sure not as good as a veteran with a wider choice of weaponry but still awsome in what u focused on like in other mmorgps .)
