1: Why do you want to join KoS:

Looking for a legion to join for Aion launch, looking for a Hardcore / semi -hardcore legion with mature players, and Aion has got some good rep.

Bored, or lost interest in the game. I have always been active in all the guild/clans i join, i just move on to new games that hit, and unfortuantely most guilds don't merge over to the newer games.

5: What other guilds/legions have you been in:

Ashes Of the Pheonix was my main guild in WoW on emerald dream.
There a great group of people, very dedicated! Great leaders exteremly organized.

6: What were the reasons for leaving your previous guilds/legions:

Moving to AION, AOTP is not moving to Aion.

7: Will you take orders? Can you take criticism from our officers? How would you handle it:

Negative and Positive criticism is accepted by all means. I do enjoy playing and making sure that the others around me are also enjoying there games while still be able to rely on what ever is asked from me.

8: Have you ever grouped with KoS members:

I have not grouped with any KOS members but im sure ive seen some around in past games ive played.

9: What PvP experience do you have in previous games:

I have PVP expereince in just about every PVP online MMO game. I learn quick and love the game for what it is!

10: What PvP experience do you have on your current character:

I do not have any PVP experience on my AION char becuase ive only participated in the 2nd beta and did not encounter any PVP battles

11: Any other Aion related experiences you'd like to share:

I played in the AION Beta 2, Loved the game and i will enjoy playing it for the PVP battles, and the legion battles! Cant wait to start! I have given alot of though about which class im going to play and i hope by applying to KOS i can find someone willing to help me decide with there experience what they think would be the best route for me.

As for what class to play... which classes did you play in previous games? Aion is not very much different from what I've seen than any other MMO with the same base classes. Tanks, Melee, Ranger, Healer, Summoner, Mage, Buffer. Or in a more basic sense: Tank, Heal, Dps, Support.

You listed 2 dps, 1 tank classes... but what playstyle are you comfortable with?

For the sig, don't forget to click on "insert signature picture", that adds "" into your signature which embeds your picture.

KoS 'll be playing the most populated NA server, most likelly the first on the list w/e the name 's gonna be. Atm in Beta we are playing on Isphrael.

Hey Metatrono, it would be good if you could "blog" a lil bit about your experience in beta event. What level you achieved, pvp, grouped with KoS (?) etc. I know everyone can see your level in guild tab but for apps it's recommened that you update your post as often as possible with usefull information so that when an officer or leader reads through, he gets the feeling for how you doing, even though he maybe didnt group/play/chat with ya ....

Hey DeMordey sorry for the slow response, ive been hella busy this week, beta was crazy awsome! Wings, quests, insane graphics! All these things make this game a keeper, I got to level 13 assassin, thats all the time i could invest into Beta 4, but now that beta 5 is here im sure i can put alot more effort into my assassin. I think im going to go for a name change on release, i need a more rogue type name. The quests in this game are pretty fun, except some that make you run back and forth, i haven't tried grinding, but i would like to get some feedback on grinding, Is it a faster way to level? Do you get less or more Kinah from grinding? I know NCsoft siad that if you grind or quests you will gain similar rewards, exp, kinah etc. I did not get a chance to quest with any KOS members because of my low level, but i was on vent and manged to learn some names and back rounds. If anyone has any questions about open beta let me know i would be more than happy to answer.

So ive decided to reroll a Spirit Master or maybe on retail a Ranger, im going to be duoing with slick, the chanter. Assassin is pretty tough and well i think i like the way they made the casters in Aion, just keeping you all updated!! Aion FTW! Also, SLICK will be hosting a Private server, and i hope i can get updated through the forums on when it becomes available. Thanks all!

Ya after that 1 v 1 duel, im thinking i should go ranged! I like the SM pets they look cool. So whad did everyone else think about CB5?

You can't judge a melee class on that low level. Melees suck in every game in 1v1 vs ranged on low level, it gets better later ...

Well thanks for the support guys. You are right maybe ive judged the assassin to early, im just having failure on adjusting to how they want the assassin to be played, i completely understand how to play the class, but the combination of skills is what gets me, microing buffs in between attacks has got me hesitating my next skill.. Let me know what you guys think. Because me and Slick are going to be duoing, me going a ranged DPS over a melee dps might be better.

I bound CTRL and ALT to my spare mouse buttons which made me able to use skills faster/more easily.

What is there to decide? There are only a limited amount of decisions imo...
For me @ level 22: (all skills ready)
-Buff 2-3 buffs in this order: Clear Focus (if you have it), Follow Up Strike, Devotion
-Dash attack into the mob, press surprise attack immediately to get in the back damage.
-Pattern engrave up to 3 immediately (Engrave Signet->Chain Engrave Signet->Beasts Roar)
-Swift Edge -> Soul Strike (go for Signet Assault if it combos)
-Engrave Signet up to 4 (Beast's Roar)

By this time the mob will be 1/2 to 3/4 dead, you can burst the signet or do you evasion buff to throw in a counterslash for some dmg + stun. If it stuns, you always go to the back of the mob and do Surprise attack again.


I can try to make a PVE video soon, maybe from the CN server. With that attack style there, I can usually kill a mob of equal to +1,+2 levels without taking more than 50% dmg, meaning I have to herb treatment at the end. With anyone else, especially a healer, the mob dies by the time my hp hits 75% if not sooner.

Thanks for the explanation. I will give it another try on the next beta, im sure assassins will be taken care of through out the game, so it would be wise for me to stick with it. So anyone hear anything about Slicks private server comming up?

Don't get me wrong, if you want to play another class, go for it. I'm just saying that, for me, the A.D.D. skill combo chains of assassin make sense. I am comfortable with how it plays and can do better than with my sorc.

If you like assassin, but feel more comfortable with something else, I'd play what you're comfortable with. If you can have the feeling if knowing what you're doing, you'll do well with the class.

As for the pserv, I know nothing about it other than the rumor it existed.

Met, what level did u get ur assassin to in the last beta, I didnt get much of a chance to play for the 2nd and final day of the last beta, found out it was a virus on my comp that was causing all the blue error's so I had to reformat. By time I had everything installed, the beta was long gone, hope its fixed for the next beta, wouldnt mind pwning ur assassin some more aye? :P^^ it'll be a blast in the final beta me thinks!

It's too early for alliances... the only thing similar would be players from top clans in previous games that are playing with KoS for Aion. It's far too early, and not really a big deal?(I don't understand the importance/relevance personally; feel free to elaborate.)

As for KoS legions, that strongly depends if we have more than 90 ACTIVE, STRONG, players. At that point we will see what happens.

Ambassador? Well, Nitro is your daddy which is pretty much what you need to know. As for diplomacy, it doesn't really come up.. we did have a suggestion/complaint thread in our previous forum... we'll see if we need to make another one for Aion. Other than that, all information you seek would be obtained in vent or perhaps the private section.

Thanks for the responsse, yo xtops sick sig, can you make me one! So lets talk about Kinah and the importance about it, what will make us rich? Will KOS be doing a lottery of some sort? I know in Lineage 2 the guilds would save up to gear out the guild members, is this something we will need to do in order to strengthen KOS members? Farming 12million adena was extremely hard if not impossible, im sure Aion economy is similar.

I told you already like i was told that rangers get more attacks at 16 and assing start getting better dps as well but cant make you judgement on the classes yet granted assasing with uber gear at any lvl will be great but expensive so when the game goes retail make a class u will be happy with to make money and get gear abd stones to make your gear for lower lvl character uber then u can get to pvp faster.
