Basically this is a compliation of the knowledge that I know based on my experience as a ret pally for three years, and additional information from sources such as lolret.com and elitistjerks.com

=============================================
My Ret raiding build:

The 5 points into Divinity is very random.
I put it up there for the miniscule healing increase that it does with JoL.
In all honesty, you can put those 5 points elsewhere/where ever you wish.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Stats:
Uh, for starters, gear/gem priority should be as such:
1. Hit rating. 8%. Get it.

2. Strength - This is our bread and butter for the basis of our attack power. the StR to AP ratio is 1:2 (for every one strength= two attack power) this is basically what you want to be looking for as far as gear etc.

3. Expertise. 6.5%. Get it.

4. Crit strike rating>Agility - Crit adds spell crit along as melee crit. You need higher amounts of agility to get crit . If you have to gem for anything, Get a Str+crit gem. Don't look for Agility gems or prioritize Agility for anything. Agility is just melee crit for us loladins.

5. Haste - faster swings, shorter globals. Cool shit.

6. Armor Pen - Not as good as it used to be. Sure judgements are affected by ArP, but after the ArP nerf, its almost pointless to be stacking this as a pally when little of our gear contains it. If the item is an upgrade that happens to have ArP, sure...but Don't go lookin to cut though things like paper. Don't gem it.

7. Attack power - Like i said with STR, you get more AP with STR than you would gemming pure AP. Don't be that guy.

Rotation:

Basically how I start off every fight is as such: CS, JoC, DS, Conc, Ex, HW

Why: Crusader strike has a very short CD with 4 seconds and can still proc Art of War, which allows for your instant cast exorcism. CS also has a 25% dmg increase from talents (15% from sanctity of battle and 10% from Art of War).
Judgement of Corruption for a few reasons - 1) high crit chance via Fanaticism, 2) ability to proc Art of War, 3) Raid vitality. If you are casting JoL or JoW, you are getting that raid aid out there faster and sooner.
Divine Storm: long CD, but high dmg output to multiple targets (when applicable). Think a radial cleave to 4 targets for 110% of your weapon damage consistently. Along with the 10% damage increase from Art of War, this makes it a high candidate for dps priority.
Consecration: What else can I say about an 8 second (10 if you glyph) AOE on instant cast. Basically essential for any ret rotation...not on high priority, but a must esp if you are doing dmg to 4+ targets.
Exorcism: I might get a lot of head scratchers here when I say this but Exorcism has a long ass CD of 15 seconds and is ideally used only when Art of War procs. DO NOT start pulls with this. You will be wasting time getting melee swings in and your other abilities. 1.5 seconds can be used to do nearly triple the damage you do in one cast of Exorcism...don't start your pulls with this. I know a lot of the mobs are undead in this game now, but its just not worth it.
Finally, Holy Wrath. Basically a multiple target zerg button for any undead/demon in your range. 30 seconds of a wait, but only to be used sparingly.

(From Elitistjerks.com) If you have 4pc T9 equipped or have above 7000 AP / 45% crit raid buffed, your new clash resolution is: Judgement > HoW > CS > DS > Consecrate > Exorcism > Holy Wrath.
-my input- the two piece t9 is by far worth sacrificing a 4 piece t8. You have a chance to CRIT with your righteous vengeance, which is a lot. This baby can deal a lot of damage fully raid buffed. 30% of crit damage over 8 secs (RV crits deal double damage) will equate to an approximate 3% DPS increase

EJ math:
RV damage average: 7% of our total dps
Average critrate in a raid: 45%
(45*7)% = 3.15 (dps increase)

If you don't have the 2 piece T9, you don't lose dps, just don't gain that extra 3%.

Basically with the 4pc bonus, your Judgements come up from a 18% crit(from talents) to a 23% chance to crit. If you figure in your total crit chance, you should have (if you have optimal gear) an aproximate 60-70% chance to crit with your judgements. This is why your rotation (especially your starting moves) change.

Glyphs:
Majors - Vengeance, Exorcism, and Judgement. If you are expertise cap, swap in consecration for vengeance. Saves you around 180 Mp5 and doesn't mess with any other GCD conflicts. If you are a JoL user only, this will help on the occasional mana issues (if you have any).

Minors - Pally minors suck. I use BOM, LoH, and Sense undead. Again, the majority of the mobs in this game are undead. You deal 1% extra damage to undead when you have this glyph/ have your sense undead skill up. Very useful for say Jaraxxus, Twins, and Anub'arak.

....to be edited/ continued if need be.

Should make a post about the t8/t9/t10 set bonuses IMO. Heard t10 was the bomb diggity.
